Derbyshire police plan to limit their social media presence on X, now using it only for emergencies.

Derbyshire Constabulary plans to reduce its presence on Elon Musk's social media platform X, formerly Twitter, citing poor quality and quantity of interactions. The police force, with 125,000 followers, will only use the platform for critical updates during emergencies. They encourage followers to switch to Facebook or Instagram for regular updates. This move follows similar decisions by North Wales Police and The Guardian, who left the platform due to issues with content quality and alignment with values.
