Australia's eSafety Commissioner has decided to drop legal action against Elon Musk's X (formerly Twitter) platform over videos of a Sydney church stabbing. The commissioner, Julie Inman-Grant, has consolidated her concerns in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, believing it to be more beneficial for the overall online safety of Australians, particularly children. The Federal Court proceedings against X Corp have been discontinued as a result.
