Ghana's Gbese Stool warns traders not to rebuild on burnt Kantamanto Market land, claiming ownership.

The Gbese Stool, led by Chief Nii Ayi Bonte II, has warned traders against rebuilding on the land of the Kantamanto Market in Accra, Ghana, after a fire destroyed nearly 7,000 shops and affected about 30,000 traders. The Stool claims ownership of the land and plans to develop it with investors starting in April, forming a task force to remove unauthorized structures. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
