On January 1st, a high-speed chase involving a 40-year-old woman, Regina Johnson, who was driving with a suspended license and had an 8-year-old child in the car, began in Mesa County and ended near Parachute in Garfield County. After multiple agencies, including the SPEAR team and the Garfield County Sheriff's Office, deployed stop sticks, Johnson was arrested. She faces charges of felony eluding, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, and child abuse.
