Suspect Santos Benitez-Tejada arrested after high-speed pursuit in Douglas County, charged with felony eluding, reckless driving, and speeding over 40 mph in a school zone. The pursuit began on Highway 395 when Benitez-Tejada allegedly drove recklessly, running other vehicles off the road. Douglas County Sheriff's Office deputies attempted a traffic stop, but the suspect continued driving, reaching speeds of 80 mph in a school zone before crossing into California, where the pursuit was terminated.
