Ontario Provincial Police concluded Project Midfield, a drug enforcement operation, seizing $6 million worth of drugs including cocaine, psilocybin, and cannabis in Ottawa and eastern Ontario. Three suspects were charged with 39 offences related to drug possession, firearms, and trafficking. Acting OPP Chief Superintendent Mike Stoddart noted that the seized cocaine would significantly impact local drug networks.
