Opening of Pakistan's new Gwadar airport postponed again due to security threats from separatists.

The opening of Pakistan's New Gwadar International Airport (NGIA) has been indefinitely postponed for the third time due to security concerns. Part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the airport's original January 1, 2025, opening has been delayed due to attacks by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a separatist group opposing Chinese investments. The Civil Aviation Authority and Balochistan government are reviewing security measures before the airport can open.
