Two stabbing incidents in Winnipeg led to arrests; one involved an intoxicated man attacking a security guard.

In Winnipeg, a 51-year-old security guard narrowly avoided being stabbed with a pin from his name tag by a 20-year-old intoxicated man. The suspect, who was denied entry to a restricted area, ripped off the guard's glasses and stomped on them. The guard sustained minor injuries and was treated by paramedics. The suspect was arrested and charged with assault and mischief. In another incident, a 19-year-old man was stabbed in the West End by another 19-year-old after repeatedly returning to a residence despite being asked to leave. The victim was hospitalized in stable condition, and the suspect was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon.
