Study reveals high prejudice against Travellers and Roma in Ireland, especially in affluent areas.

A new study by Ireland's Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) reveals that Travellers and Roma face the highest levels of prejudice in the country. People in affluent areas are less comfortable with Travellers as neighbors or in relationships with their children compared to those in disadvantaged areas. The research, based on 3,008 adults, also showed that women, young people, and those with higher education were more tolerant. The study highlights significant health and education disparities for Travellers and Roma and calls for revised national equality strategies to address these issues.
