Nigerian IPI re-elects leadership, focusing on media freedom and civic space protection.

The Nigerian chapter of the International Press Institute (IPI) has re-elected Musikilu Mojeed as President and Ahmed I. Shekarau as Secretary for a three-year term. The re-election took place during the annual general meeting (AGM) where the team presented their past stewardship and updated members on the organization's financial state. The AGM also elected Fidelis Mbah as deputy president, Rafatu Salami as treasurer, Yomi Adeboye as assistant secretary, and Tobi Soniyi as legal adviser. The event, themed "Democracy, Media Freedom, and the Imperative of Protecting the Nigerian Civic Space," highlighted efforts to enhance the Nigerian media environment.
