Princess Anne visited a National Coastwatch Station, celebrating volunteers and the charity’s 30th anniversary.

Princess Anne, 74, visited the National Coastwatch Station in Shoreham, West Sussex, as patron of the volunteer-run charity that safeguards the coast. She toured the station, learned about the lifesaving work of the volunteers, and presented long service awards at a reception. The visit coincided with International Volunteers Day and marked the 30th anniversary of the NCI. Anne also made light remarks about the challenging weather forecast.
