A fire at Charlestown Square shopping center on November 29 around 4:30 pm, starting from a pile of cardboard boxes, led to an evacuation and the activation of internal sprinklers. Upon arrival, firefighters found the blaze already extinguished but noted damage to the store and extensive water damage. No injuries were reported, and 22 firefighters arrived in six trucks. The cause of the fire remains unclear.
