Man charged with dangerous driving and impaired operation causing death after fatal Canada Day crash.

A 34-year-old man from Cranbrook, British Columbia, Huston Robert Seymour, is charged with six offenses, including dangerous driving and impaired operation causing death, following a fatal crash on Canada Day 2023. The crash occurred when Seymour allegedly crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a westbound SUV, killing the 42-year-old driver and injuring his wife. Speed and alcohol are believed to be the primary causes. Seymour's court appearance is scheduled for December 2 in Cranbrook.
