New study shows vaping harms blood flow and oxygen levels, challenging its safer alternative image.

A new study reveals that vaping, even without nicotine, has immediate negative effects on blood vessels and oxygen levels in the body. Researchers found that vaping decreases blood flow in the femoral artery and reduces venous oxygen saturation, suggesting less oxygen uptake by the lungs. This research, presented at the Radiological Society of North America, challenges the view that e-cigarettes are a safer alternative to traditional cigarettes. The study involved 31 healthy participants aged 21 to 49 and highlights the potential long-term health risks of vaping.
