Christopher Darnell Jones Jr., a former University of Virginia student, pleaded guilty to the 2022 shooting that killed three football players and wounded two others. The 25-year-old admitted to three counts of first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated malicious wounding, and five counts of firearm use in a felony. The shooting occurred on a bus returning from Washington, D.C., with a sentencing hearing scheduled for February 4. The university agreed to a $9 million settlement with the victims' families.
