Christopher Darnell Jones Jr., a former University of Virginia student, pleaded guilty to fatally shooting three football players and wounding two others on the campus in 2022. The shootings took place after a group returned from a trip to Washington, D.C. Jones faces multiple charges including first-degree murder and using a firearm in a felony. The university agreed to a $9 million settlement with the victims' families. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for February 4th.
