London couple loses houseboat to storm, seeks insurance recovery and fundraising for new one.

London couple Ashley Corkish and Jamie McSeveney lost their houseboat to a violent storm on September 29 near Mersea Island, Essex. Their 34-foot Elysian 34 boat was destroyed and washed ashore three days later, leading to their rescue by the RNLI. Currently staying with friends in London, they are fundraising to recover lost belongings and find a new boat by Christmas, as their insurance will only cover wreckage recovery.
