The Michigan DNR announced a significant upgrade at Tahquamenon Falls State Park's Upper Falls area. A new 900-foot accessible boardwalk will replace the old stairway to the viewing platform, enhancing visitor access and views of the 200-foot-wide falls. Construction starts October 14, 2022, and is set for completion by August 1, 2025. The project is funded by $3.275 million from federal relief, and other viewing areas will remain open during construction.
