UN launches $134m humanitarian appeal for flood-affected communities in Bangladesh.

The United Nations has launched a $134 million humanitarian appeal to assist communities in Bangladesh severely impacted by escalating floods and climate-related disasters since May. Approximately 18.4 million people have been affected, prompting the government to implement a Multi-Hazard Humanitarian Response Plan targeting 2.5 million individuals across 28 districts through March 2025. The plan focuses on urgent needs, including food, healthcare, and infrastructure support.
