UN allocates $2M from Central Emergency Response Fund to combat cholera outbreak in Somalia.

The UN has allocated $2 million from the Central Emergency Response Fund to address the cholera outbreak in Somalia. The funding will support UN agencies and partners in providing lifesaving assistance to 60,000 people in Puntland and Central Southern states, aiming to save lives and prevent further spread of cholera. Since January, over 10,000 cases and 120 deaths have been reported in seven states of Somalia.
