Angus Kockott, a 20-year-old, survived a shark attack while snorkeling off Mangareva Island, French Polynesia. A 2.5-meter grey reef shark bit his arm, but Kockott defended himself by stabbing the shark in the gills. He underwent a six-hour surgery to repair severed nerves and tendons. Despite his injuries, he plans to make earrings from the shark's teeth and remains optimistic about returning to the water.
