A man was bitten by a shark while spearfishing near Key West on Monday around 3:40 pm. He was brought to shore on Stock Island and then airlifted to a Miami-Dade County hospital by helicopter ambulance. The victim was alert and responsive during the airlift, but his immediate condition was unclear at the time of the release. This incident follows an increase in shark attacks along the Florida coast.
