Provo, Utah, has been named the "nicest place in America" for 2024 by Reader's Digest, recognized for its efforts to address youth mental health issues through the Hope Squad, a peer-to-peer suicide prevention program. Since its launch in 2004, the program has led to no student suicides at Timpview High School. Other notable communities include Butte, Montana, Horseshoe Beach, Florida, and Brooklyn's Fort Greene, each celebrated for their acts of kindness and community spirit.
