Blue Ridge Parkway sections closed in NC for Hurricane Helene; safety assessments & closures until after storm.
The National Park Service has closed sections of the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina as a precaution against Hurricane Helene, starting September 25. Affected areas include segments north of Linville Falls and from the NC191 overlook to Soco Gap. Closures will remain until after the storm for safety assessments. Campgrounds and visitor centers, including Linville Falls and Pisgah, are also closed. Visitors should exercise caution due to potential hazards.
