Mohammad Zahid, a suspect in the murder of two Railway Protection Force constables, was killed in a police encounter in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. Zahid was critically injured during a gunfight with a joint task force and later died in a hospital. The constables were murdered while attempting to stop illegal liquor smuggling on a train. Authorities recovered an illegal firearm and liquor during the operation, while another suspect escaped.
