A loaded gun in student's backpack led to arrest and increased campus law enforcement.
An Albertville High School student was taken into custody on Monday after a loaded gun was discovered in their backpack. The student attempted to flee when approached by School Resource Officer Gilbert Lucero for a search and was tased before being apprehended. The Albertville Police Department is handling the case, ensuring no ongoing threat to the school. Increased law enforcement presence will be on campus as a precaution the following day.
