A Roy High School student was arrested for carrying a loaded firearm into the school, prompting the school to be placed in a "HOLD" protocol. Police found a handgun containing ammunition in the student's waistband. The firearm belonged to the student's father, who was unaware it had been taken. The juvenile was taken into custody and booked into Weber Valley Detention on gun-related charges.
