Liberal MP Kim Wells accused Opposition Leader John Pesutto of claiming that Moira Deeming organized neo-Nazis to attend a Let Women Speak rally during a court exchange in Deeming's defamation case against him. Wells asserted that Pesutto betrayed Deeming and her supporters. He also revealed that Pesutto had planned to expel Deeming after the rally and failed to present a deal that would fully exonerate her during discussions with the party.
