A fatal accident occurred on September 18 in Jackson County, Kansas, when 16-year-old Wyatt Edward Lee Shields failed to yield while driving a Chevy Silverado, colliding with a northbound Dodge Grand Caravan driven by 26-year-old Allison Renee Lee. Passenger Scott Edward Reaka, 52, died at the scene, while Lee was hospitalized. All three involved were wearing seatbelts. The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
