Arkansas State Police Trooper Duncan acted lawfully in shooting a resisting, assaultive suspect during a traffic stop.
Benton County Prosecutor Joshua Robinson concluded that Arkansas State Police Trooper Alexandria Duncan acted within the law when she shot Angel Eduardo Zapet-Alvarado during a July traffic stop for speeding. Zapet-Alvarado, who resisted arrest and assaulted Duncan, was shot after a bystander intervened. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and faces multiple charges, while Duncan will not face criminal charges for her actions.
