30-year-old Brandon Barringer died in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 30, possibly due to drugs and alcohol, not wearing a seatbelt.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash on U.S. 30 in West Township that occurred early Sunday. A 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche, driven by 30-year-old Brandon Barringer of Kensington, veered off the road, struck an embankment, and overturned, ejecting him. Barringer, who was not wearing a seatbelt, later died at a Canton hospital. Authorities suspect drugs and alcohol contributed to the accident and emphasize the importance of seatbelt use.
