A five-vehicle crash on I-95 in Augusta, Maine, resulted in the death of a female passenger and her dog on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred around 3:09 p.m. when a pickup truck rear-ended an SUV in a construction zone where traffic was stopped. Other individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries. All southbound lanes were closed for over two hours but reopened by 5:50 p.m. Maine State Police are investigating and will provide updates.
