Sayasith Phothitay, 36, alleged leader of an international auto theft ring, was arrested in Windsor for violating bail conditions. He had been released in July 2023 after a major operation, Project Fairfield, which netted 138 stolen vehicles, $170,000 in cash, and over $500,000 in drugs. Phothitay is facing 46 charges, including vehicle theft and drug trafficking. His recent arrest adds a charge for failing to comply with his release order.
