Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) now has a grid capacity of 8,100 MW, according to recent tests.

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has the capacity to transmit 6,000 MW of electricity nationwide, as stated by Managing Director Sule Abdulaziz. Over the past three years, TCN has upgraded and built new sub-stations, funded by internal revenue and donors. The company is involved in the Presidential Power Initiative, which seeks to address power sector issues and expand capacity to 25,000 MW. Recent tests have confirmed a grid capacity of 8,100 MW.
