Josephine Ingoglia, a landlady in Astoria, survived an alleged assault by her tenant, Marc Lynch, during a bizarre exorcism on July 21. Lynch, believing Ingoglia was a witch, attacked her by pouring water with rose petals over her and attempting to strangle her. He was arrested and charged with multiple offenses but is on supervised release. Despite a protection order, Lynch returned to the property, raising safety concerns for Ingoglia and her other tenants.
