Ghanaian student Tyrone Marhguy, who fought for his right to attend Achimota School with dreadlocks, has been awarded a $1.4m full scholarship to study Computer Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. Marhguy, who won a two-month legal battle, earned multiple offers from top US universities including Duke, Williams, and Franklin & Marshall. He achieved A's in all subjects of the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination and represented Achimota School in the National Maths and Science Quiz.
