UK MP and Tory leadership contender Tom Tugendhat has compared the fight against human trafficking and illegal migration to the struggle against slavery, urging the UK to invest similar levels of resources as it did in combating slavery almost 200 years ago. He emphasized the need for determination and commitment in tackling human trafficking, which he believes is causing thousands of lives to be lost and is being manipulated by the Kremlin and its proxies. Tugendhat criticized those who see opposition to illegal migration as wrong or nasty, stating that it is the toleration of deaths that is wrong and nasty.
