Ozark Regional Transit (ORT) receives $14.9 million from the U.S. Dept. of Transportation to build 17 new EV charging stations in Bentonville, Fayetteville, Rogers, and Springdale, NW Arkansas. The Federal Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Grant aims to expand EV access and support efficient transit services. This will increase the number of charging ports by 58%, primarily serving ORT's On-Demand vehicles. Arkansas currently ranks 38th in EV charging stations, with 1 station per 9,157 residents.
