80 individuals, including 4 Quad-City superintendents, rappelled down the 11-story Hotel Blackhawk in Davenport for the 6th annual "Over the Edge for the Kids' Sake" fundraiser. The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mississippi Valley event, which aims to raise funds for mentoring students, saw the superintendents collectively raise $4,861, with Bettendorf's Michelle Morse leading with $1,864. The fundraiser is accepting donations until Aug 31, and challenges Illinois-side superintendents to join next year.
