Nigeria Labour Congress accuses police of raiding headquarters, demands apology and end to alleged union interference.
Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) accuses Nigerian police of invading their headquarters, demanding an apology and an end to alleged interference in union affairs. NLC claims police raided headquarters on Aug. 8, seizing books and publications, and alleges that the government is attempting to interfere with union activities by considering a two-year maximum tenure for union leaders. NLC plans to use all means, including strike action, to defend its rights.
