11-year-old moose Trilly euthanized at Toronto Zoo due to worsening health issues.

11-year-old moose, Trilly, was euthanized at the Toronto Zoo due to health issues that worsened over several months. Trilly's health problems included malabsorption, arthritis in multiple joints, and a torn tendon on her left hock. The zoo conducted an autopsy, but further tests are needed for a final diagnosis. Trilly was one of two moose in the Canadian Domain of the zoo, and her age surpassed the estimated life expectancy of moose in human care, which is around 11 years.
