3 fatalities, including a child, in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 44, 60 miles SW of St. Louis. The accident happened on Aug 10, when traffic was halted due to a police-involved incident. A semi-truck hit Snider's Toyota Avalon, which then collided with Smith's Nissan Sentra. The drivers of the Avalon and Sentra died, along with a 5-year-old boy. The semi-truck driver was injured.
