Sarnia plans to invest $1.2M in a new downtown transit terminal for improved bus transfers.

Sarnia is planning to invest $1.2 million in a new downtown transit terminal to improve bus transfers for riders, replacing the current setup where buses park along George and Vidal streets, causing passengers to rush between them. The six-space sawtooth-design terminal, recommended since 2014 in the city's transportation and transit master plan, will upgrade landscaping, shelters, and add more seating. A similar terminal was recently installed near Clearwater Arena.
