94 deaths, 93 injured, 502 huts destroyed due to heavy rainfall and flooding during Niger's rainy season.

94 people have died and 93 others injured due to heavy rainfall during Niger's rainy season, according to the Minister of Humanitarian Action and Disaster Management, Aissa Lawan Wandarma. Flooding and house collapses have affected all eight regions of the country, destroying 502 huts, flooding 2,763 hectares of agricultural land, and ruining 17,495 tonnes of food. Amid the crisis, the government is distributing food and non-food kits, and has taken measures to ensure all affected individuals receive necessary assistance.
