Police officer killed, another injured in Pampanga province shootout during a raid to rescue kidnapped victims. The incident took place on Saturday afternoon when law enforcement officers entered the hideout of kidnap-for-ransom suspects in Angeles City, north of Manila. One officer died in a local hospital, while the other is recovering from a gunshot wound. Weapons and drug paraphernalia were seized from the scene.
