Catholic League's tax-exempt status is challenged by FFRF over social media posts.
The Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights' president, Bill Donohue, has responded to a call by the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) to revoke the group's tax-exempt status. This comes after the FFRF filed a complaint against the Catholic League for social media posts critical of Vice President Kamala Harris and supportive of Republican nominee J.D. Vance, claiming they violate IRS regulations for non-profit organizations. Despite the complaint, Donohue says the Catholic League will continue to oppose anti-Catholic bigots and will not be deterred.
