The UK and India partner with the National Graphene Institute, Cambridge Graphene Centre, and Bengaluru Centre for Nano Science to strengthen technology security and economic growth.

The UK and Indian governments have identified The University of Manchester's National Graphene Institute (NGI) as a key stakeholder in the UK-India Technology Security Initiative (TSI). The TSI aims to boost economic growth in both countries and tackle issues such as telecoms security and semiconductor supply chain resilience. The partnership includes collaborations with the University of Cambridge Graphene Centre and the Indian Institute for Science Bengaluru Centre for Nano Science & Engineering on advanced 2D and atomically thin materials and nanotechnology.
