70-year-old "model citizen" Steven Gillman assaulted another yacht club member during a row over a billiards game, causing the victim to suffer a fractured eye socket and a dislocated eye lens. Gillman became enraged as he felt his refereeing skills were being belittled by the victim at the Royal St George Yacht Club in Dún Laoghaire, Co Dublin. The victim required extensive and ongoing medical care and continues to suffer with double vision and tinnitus.
