31-year-old Donegal fisherman, Bobby Ivers, sentenced to one year in prison for assaulting a local man who gave him a lift to his fishing vessel in Castletownbere, Co. Cork. Ivers pleaded guilty to one count of assault, two counts of public order, one count of criminal damage, and one count of failing to appear in court. The assault left the victim with facial bruising, chipped teeth, and short-term impairment of vision.
