Georgia's Port of Brunswick handled a record 830,000 automobiles in the 2024 fiscal year, making it neck-and-neck with Baltimore as the top U.S. auto port. The combined number of auto and heavy machinery units handled by Brunswick and the Port of Savannah reached 876,000, an increase of 21% over the previous year. This growth came after Georgia invested $262 million in upgrades and expansions in Brunswick to accommodate increased auto shipments.
